Efforts continue behind the scenes to open Kentucky Kingdom

Kentucky Kingdom has been abandoned for three seasons so as you might expect, the neglect and the weather have had a negative impact on many of the rides and buildings. Ed Hart's team will try to assess what needs to be done right away to try to keep it from further deterioration.

After three years of disrepair, I'm highly skeptical that any of the outdoors mechanical rides can be saved. I know his focus will be on the water park, which I agree with, but this is a lot of work nonetheless. Why, exactly, is Ed Hart so hell bent on controlling this dead park?
