Efficient Everest Lines

The reverse action of the coaster can’t be propelled by gravity alone, since a lot of it was uphill. Fantastic design and over the top theming. The strobe light doesn’t offer much opportunity to appreciate the Yeti towards the end. With all the work they put into that thing you’d think they’d want us to see it. All and all a great ride. I wish more rides could be run like Everest. I guess it’s more of a staffing issue. *** Edited 2/23/2006 4:29:51 PM UTC by rc-madness***

rc-madness, it sounds like you got the "B" show for the Yeti. What's the "B" show? Well, since the Yeti is such a small part of the ride, if it breaks, it doesn't shut the whole ride down. Instead the Yeti goes into inactive mode, and you see what you saw.

You apparently haven't experienced Mission: Space, California Screamin', or Tower of Terror, WhiteShadow.

Actually no I havent.
I once timed the Phoenix loading crew, 25 seconds for a train to empty, reload and be ready for dispatch. The lack of seat beltage really helps them.

Sorry to sway from the main topic. I'll be riding Everest in August!

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
Well, there ya go! Those are some of the most crazy-efficient rides I've ever seen anywhere. Highly recommended riding.

If the strobe light was on when you saw the Yeti, the Yeti was broken when you rode it and the computer shifted that scene to the "B" show, which turns off all the show lighting, and turns on a strobe and a fan to blow his fur to make him look less dead.

Never rid on standby on standby for TOT but Mission space was very good at keeping the ride moving eventhough, it was 60 minute wait, it did not seem to be that long since your walking most of the time. I rather have a long line that moves fast then a short line that moves slow We didn't know when to move so, the loaders helped us get to where we need to be by doing the things RCMAC said, they were very helpful.
