Eejanaika, Fujikyu Highland

A new roller coaster will be launched this July 19, 2006 in Fujikyu Highland, Japan.

http://www.eejanaika.jp/

This is their 8th proudly-present project since 1968. As mention in their website, they have intention to break Guiness record with ride facts as follow:

- Total loop/turn: 14 times
- Length ride: 1,153m
- Top height: 76m (+/- 15 floor building)
- Max speed: 126km/hr
- Duration ride: 2 minutes
- Capacity: 20 people
- Total construction: 3,600,000,000 yen

Anyone in Japan already? ^ o ^ *** Edited 6/7/2006 2:26:55 PM UTC by arachelle***

Does that first statistic translate to 14 inversions?

RCDB has had this coaster for a while on there site.

It looks like Arrow is is making an X 2.0

Sorry, guys, but that's superold news.

Yes, it's an S&S/Arrow 4D. Yes, it's the 2nd one ever. Yes, it's in Japan. Yes, it's at Fuji-Q.

It looks almost like a mirror imiage of X.
Never seen one of these on X.

Here's an animation.

I don't care what new 4-D coasters they build. Nothing will ever beat the original!

For those not keeping score, that is the much anticpated, long rumored "full full" element.

And...really? Not even in 10? 20? 30 years?

I don't think so, but of course, that's just my opinion.

They must be counting all the flips and whatnot. Remember when Stealth opened and PGA decided that it had eight inversions?

"Would you like to buy a photo of you boys enjoying the Line Ride?"

After watching that animation, I'm starting to wonder whether that full-full will be comfortable...

Still looks pretty wild.

The full-full looks very disorienting more than anything to me, but I may not be the best judge. I've never had an uncomfortable ride on X, and I actually enjoy rides such as SOB, Iron Wolf, etc.

Then again my 63 year old mother does too, so perhaps its a genetic thing.

^ I too like rides like X, Psyclone, Rattler, ect.

I can with stand the roughness and dissyness.

Yeah, this coaster is old news.

But the statistics are not. All we had before was a construction worker saying 80 meters tall. Now we have real numbers. Converting from metric:

Height: 249.3 ft
Length: 3782.8 ft
Speed: 78.2 mph
Capacity: 1000

They got Guinness to certify it as the coaster with the most inversions (14). Some people will probably question that figure, but who cares :)

Interesting that the trains are only 5 rows long, vs X's 7. That's ONE way to get the weight of the train down...

Inversion, turn, loop, (総回転数が世界一の14回) can be few meanings, let see what they will have.

An old news? Well, it is new thing for some people. And new ride for Fujikyu itself. Their official mailing list just arrived 6.6.2006. So, I just forward the info.

Oh yea, I'd always wanna ride new RCs. Why not? ^o^

Thanks for the link of Eejanaika construction photos! *** Edited 6/8/2006 6:02:05 AM UTC by arachelle***

airtime for everyone
Well i just hope it is up and running soon as i will be in Japan mid September and going by X i ain't holding my breath.I was actually there the day X broke down in 2002 , I rode it once and before i could ride it again it had died.I did return in 2004 and rode it plenty, no problems with it at all.

So if they have it running by September this coaster is gonna be the best bonus coaster ride on a trip ever!

Oh yeah i love X. *** Edited 6/11/2006 5:19:34 AM UTC by therooboy***

It actually looks pretty short, or at least not much longer than X. (Look at the layout on the flash presentation)

I don't think that 14 inversion thing is accurate. At least, not in the track configuration. But you never know on a 4d. In the brake run they could just flip you around 14 times and then you got the inversion world record.

Nevertheless, looks fun.
