EAS PASS - SFGA - 2014

Last year I used the EAP Pass, to help me through the day, in the beginning I would walk up the EXITS to get a ride time, then back down the EXIT to wait for my ride time, to walk back up the EXIT to ride and then back down. I spoke to Customer Service how hard this was and they started to write IMMEDIATE BOARDING .. obviously the message got out and there was not only EAS abuse but Immediate Boarding abuse..

...

This year the EAP will come with a time stamp that is the average current wait time, they put a stamp from when you get there on the pass, then you ride when the average wait time is up, for example Saturday and Sunday it was 40 minutes, so I could ride a new ride every 40 minutes, its better taking 2 trips to ride once, but I can see on a busy day a 2 HOUR stamp .. ugg .. but i guess it fair for everyone.

Basically, they are accommodating by giving you the same benefits as the standard flash pass. I think that's the best way to do it.

It's actually called an EAP (Equal Access Pass). EAS is the Emergency Alert System they usually test in the middle of a show you're trying to watch.

And I also used an EAP this weekend since I sprained my ankle and am still on crutches. Seemed to be a lot of confusion with the crews. Most of them were still giving out reservations for 40 minutes. I didn't even realize until I got home and really read through the pass that this was no longer how they were supposed to do it.

I too had to school the ride attendents on the time, they put on the pass. I am glad for the changes, last year I saw many people abusing the pass, like kids, without the pass person with them, running up exits, or even in line for the pass, hearing people talk about lieing to get one.

Not having to go up the exits twice is what is nice, but if I have to wait 2 hours for a ride, I will be spending alot of time in the Water park between rides .. on the lazy river .. lol

Honestly, I'm surprised people still fake it. Right now, there may be a very slim advantage on crowded days, but the current system is nowhere near as much of an advantage as the passes they had back in 2003 where the only restriction was not being able to return to the same ride within 2 hours. Back then you could literally go around the park and ride every coaster and it would be 2 hours anyway by the time you got back to where you started.

I've NEVER had the urge to fake an injury or disability in order to get an access pass. Even with my messed up back and knee (Thanks, marching band!) which could probably qualify me if I wanted it to, I'd rather just throw down the cash for a fastlane/flash pass if I need to.

I wouldn't feel right going about it any other way.

Then again, it's not all about riding for me anyway. I went to opening day at Great America, and only rode 2 rides all day. The rest of the time was spent hanging out, being outside, sitting at the bar and having a few drinks, and photo-bombing people's selfies in front of the carousel. Spending time away from life, with friends, is what it's all about.

If you weren't a piano player that never would've happened.

If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college.

HOLY IDIOT!!

First the ride attendent would not sign my EAP since the Ragin Bull went down, then this gem.

..

A ride attendent asked where did I want to sit on the BULL, I said I preferr the back, he said they no longer reserve seats for the EAP, I showed him on the (EAP) ticket where it says it does, he then informed me I would have to wait an additional 55 minutes!!

..

I spoke to customer service about my time at the BULL and they assured me that they would train the staff on the EAP again, since the week before they had attendents putt an additioal 40 minutes on the sign in time.

I am so glad the park is following the lead of other parks. Anyone who has stood in line for Raging Bull or X Flight knows how abused the old system was. At times the ability to exit these ride was blocked by exit passes.
This past Sunday two of the groups we know that abuse this found out the park had a secret password for extreme use. We kept running into them since the park was empty. All they talked about was how to find out what this word was. Finally outside the exit gate we spoke our minds. It seems the abusers of this can't deal with a level playing field. As we told them the free ride is over and there is no turning back. So if these people never speak to us again so what. It beats watching them parade groups up the exits on busy days.

My god!!! I think I actually agree with Ron. I am about to faint!!!!

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

The trick was to surrender to the flow.
