Earth Quest and Grand Texas theme parks still nowhere to be found

Two separate theme park projects featuring hundreds of acres of rides and attractions were supposed to open in east Montgomery County. Years after those announcements, there's still no sign of rides or water parks where Earth Quest and Grand Texas were planned along Highway 59.

The Grand Texas guy has the gonads to show up on camera and explain the situation of his park, so I believe he is sincere in trying to get that park off the ground. Earth Quest is probably a great big scam.
And that poor guy with the food stand; I really feel for him.

It's not like the second he's gone two theme parks are gonna pop up just to make him mad...
I rode a ski lift a couple from Houston a couple of months ago and this came up in conversation. They echoed what Lost Cause said. They felt the Grand Texas park was delayed but still going to happen and that the other one was some sort of real estate scam.
Obviously not the most reliable source, but they were definitely more optimistic about Grand Texas happening than the local folks interviewed for this news story.
