Early Knoebels PPP idea - What do you think?

nasai's avatar

Hey all,

I know it is a bit early still for talking about PPP at Knoebels, but I am trying to convince the folks there to have some music/entertainment for all the enthusiasts during the bonfire/cookout after ERT. I have offered the services of my band, if they will have us. For those of you who aren't familiar with us, ask Mamoosh, Craig the coaster freak, Rollocoast, Bassistist, etc (I think you will dig it). Even if you don't like us, I would love to see something like this as another way to cap the night off. What say you? Please go to the Knoebels site at www.knoebels.com and contact them to give your 2 cents.

~disclaimer~

I don't think this breaks the rules of the TOS, but if so, I sincerely apologize. This isn't an ad for us, but my desire to sweeten the experience at PPP. :):):)

If you band would be playing, I would go. No matter what. It's only a four hour drive, and I have been itching to hear you guys.

If Knoebels doesn't have you I only live 12 miles from the park. Maybe all the buzzers can head there after words. I don't know what the cops/ neighbors would say about a band playing after midnignt in my house though. ;) But hey I'll try anything once! :)

Hey thanks! The hope is to do something kind of different for this years' PPP. Granted, I don't have any say in the matter, but I hope that enough people might e-mail them. Even if we don't do it, I would like to see someone, or listen while eating by the bonfire!

Coasterpunk, if we go out there, and we have time, we might be able to arrange a smallish show. I would imagine that there might be a few too many people for the house though!

Jon, I appreciate that. I look forward to meeting you too!:):)

Come see what all the fuss is about

If you travel over a little towards Pittsburgh, into a town called Murrysville, you can play a show at an all age club called American Music Cafe. My band has played two shows there and it attracts all kinds of people and bands from everywhere.

Check out their website http://www.americanmusiccafe.com/

Murrysville is more than a little towards Pittsburgh from Knoebel's. It's about 4 hours away.

That sucks horribly to have the cops called on a show. My friend Vicky moved to Cali last year, and My band played a show for her. The cops sat outside and listened to us for at least 3 songs before they broke it up. The neighbors that called the cops on us were the same ones that we shining laser pointers at us the whole time we were playing. made me so mad.

but, either way that would be cool.

Hey Rob, we are so getting you to play at PPP...but you have to promise to aim one of those drumsticks at the tall chick when you throw them out :).

Kara, thanks! I hope so. I really can't wait to meet so many of my friends out there.

All you have to do is contact Knoebels, people. Call 'em, write 'em.... do what it takes and then, just maybe............:)

Rock and roll will save our souls

If only Knoebels wasn't 3000 miles from me,I would go to this event if Ethyl was playing there. I have this bands' 1st CD and it rocks! I had the the pleasure of introducing Nasai to one of the best wooden coasters on the west coast, the Vancouver PNE/Playland Coaster, earlier this year.

I will admit I am intrigued by Knoebels' recreation of Mr. Twister.Back in 1992 ,I was layed over in in Denver for 3 1/2 hours while flying back to Portland. If I had known about Mr. Twister,I could have taken a taxi to Elitch Gardens, gotten in a few rides, then gone back to the airport to go home.

I will put in my 2 cents in to Knoebels',even if I can't go.

Rob,e-mail me!

I put in my two cents, and I am going!

Thanks guys! You are so cool to do this. Still, I don't know what will happen, but it would be such a good time. I must go to PPP even if we don't do this!:):)

Sounds great, but realize that there will be other drummers at PPP just waiting for you to step away from the set. Think you'll need a break? :)

Naw! If we do this, we will play 2 hours straight, or longer if required. I am just jonesing to do this (LOL), so here's to the hopes, eh? Oh, and Arrow Guy? We'll see.... heck, if it happens, and Knoebels rents the gear, you can try it, sure! If it's my gear, I will have to pass;)

....bummed, PPP seems a "no go" this year.....my sister's getting married, and there's no way to do both....I mean, didn't she look at the coaster calendar before planning her wedding....

edit: but you guys better have a great time anyway....just remember me when you hit the BUMP to the right just before entering the HELIX on Twister....just when your ribs get thrown into the side of the car (sitting on the right)....say "damn, how'd that gator survive a marathon on this"....;)

Rob - So it looks like your arm is getting "Twisted" into going to PPP one way or another. Good deal. The Phoenix is most definitley "no joke." The air is absolutely insane.
