OMG!
Lets not get started on IT! That is a whole different forum subject.
BUT, I would like to get my $24 back.
Actually, my family likes to refer to our home park as "SIFF-GAM" aloud. OK, maybe it sounds stupid, but we all know what we're talking about, and it's a lot shorter than saying "(Six Flags) Great America".
Now, if my kids came up to me and said, "We just rode RB and AE," THAT would drive me crazy.

I just say we are going to Six Flags in Chicago, or Cleveland. I mean honestly who of non enthusiasts knows where Great America or Worlds of Adventure is? It's all Six Flags to them. When I go to WOA we say lets ride Batman, or Superman. When I go to MIA I ride Timbers.
Millie and Maggie are a completely different story. To me they are terms of endearment rather then shorthenings of there names.
As I crest the hill on Magnum I always have to yell out, "Maggie I love You!"

The Beast and Night, They go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly
ACBLuke...when you're IN the park, just say Bull and Eagle...;)
PS...wasn't there a beer commercial a while back that went "Don't say beer say Bull"....(Schlitz malt liquor, I believe)...
Well, since we are all talking about our nicknames for rides...When I was a ride operator at HersheyPark we had some good ones.
- Sooper Dooper Looper - Looper
- The Great Bear - The Bear
- The Kissing Tower - Tower
- Ferris Wheel - Ferry Wheel or Wheel of Franklin (Franklin Shear VP Hersheypark)
- Wildcat - Wild Pussy
- Tidal Force - Tidal F***
- Comet - Vomet
- Miniature Train - Mini Hell (ok, maybe a little descriptive there)
- Frontier Chute Out - S*** Out
- The Whip - S&M Land (oh wait that was the one themed area at Gay days in Disney)
Can't think of anymore at the moment. I guess I have grown up a bit since then....
.....Ok, maybe not.
