Dumb question: What is rolling stock!?

I am kind of new to all the roller coaster terminology, and I don't know what rolling stock is! I have heard that it can even make or break a ride. What is it? Thanks!

One word for you: TRAIN.

I'm a bit surprised you didn't elaborate a bit more, Dave. ;) Since he mentioned it can make or break a ride, I was expecting you to at least link to your page describing different trains and their inner-workings and whatnot...
