Dueling in Florida - CoasterBuzz

Both my question are about dueling in Florida, so I put 'em in the same topic.

1) On DD, is there a way to set it up so you can sit front row with your friends on the other train, so you go head to head before the loops?

2) Is Gwazi dueling? Will it ever?

1) you probably could set up something you just have to make sure you go on the train at the same time thats all.

2) who knows it probably will eventually, the two trains are bound to just leave the station at the same time some point in time.

As for DD, YES, you can see through the glass of the station-house and see through to make sure you set up properly. As long as one group is willing to wait and let folks through, no problem...the duel is pretty fast though, so you don't have much time to appreciate it, LOL.

Gwazi apparently will duel under two conditions...1) is if fate intervenes and they HAPPEN to leave the station together. 2) I have *heard* that you can ask for dueling if the park is really slow, have never asked myself...I miss it greatly, though...

How long ago did they quit sending Gwazi trains out together? I was there about a year ago and it ran dueling the whole day.

Yeah, you can time it right with friends on DD to duel up front. It's not too hard, since you'ld be right next to each other in the separate stations. And Gwazi did duel. I rode it over the summer of 2001 and it dueled. I hear it doesn't anymore, so I'm happy that I rode it when it dueled!

Yes, Gwazi will duel if you ask. I asked one Sunday, and they ended up having it duel the rest of the day (I think mostly b/c they weren't busy)

On DD, you can work it out, but you need to have people cut in front of you if the other group has too many people. It's the same thing as if you and some other friends want to be on the same train.

I asked last Thursday for Gwazi to duel and they did it for me. I got the other people that were on my train so pumped up about the dueling they didnt mind waiting while the other train came in and took on new passengers. On dragons, the "dueling" is so quick you hardly notice it. I was so looking forward to the part in the loops and was so disappointed that you hardly notice it unless you look down at the right second. I suppose if you were up front it would be cooler but they had 30 minute lines to ride both days I went so waiting an hour or so for front row was out of the question.

Take it from the experience of two Buzzers who recently visited Florida and went to BGT:

If you write "DUEL PLEASE" on a napkin and show it to ride attendants, good things will happen... ;)
