Dueling Dragons has 4 near fly-bys

On my recent trip to IOA, I rode dueling dragons when there was no line at all. In total, I rode the ice 3 times and the fire 5 times. What I noticed on the Ice (and partially the fire, as its hard to see upsidedown), was that the trains must come within three feet of each other when fire is in the corkscrew, and the ice turns on to the brakes. Sometimes, the measure thing on the lift dosnt really work, giving one train a lead of the other. I noticed this "close call" was nearly doubled when the ice had a slight lead of the fire. I just wanted to get this out.
They run a TV ad up here (N.E.) that shows a looping fly by that looks close, and the riders arms and legs are all "in." I mean everyone is holding on and their legs are under them, not extended. I wonder: is that 3 foot close call still 3 feet if riders extend their legs? What if two tall riders, one on each train, extended their legs, etc? Could they touch? It would be quite a collision, wouldn't it?

I know you rider Gonna miss me when I'm gone
If they did touch, it wouldn't be THAT BAD a collision, they are both moving in the same direction, and around the same speeds. *** This post was edited by Blind_4_you on 7/9/2001. ***
Isn't it something like you come 12 inches apart from the other train on the loops? Anyways, they have a maximum height limit for a reason...
