Finally convinced my partners in crime, so we're in for PPP!!!:):):)

I'm sure the weather will be nothing. If you want cold, try last year at SFGAm for Last Blast. There was literally a thin sheet of ice on the entry fountain/pool. Nothing like coastering in the high 30's!!!!

Fleece clothing never fails. :-)

Agreed. Fleece is great for cool-weather coastering. So are hooded sweatshirts. Think layers -- tshirt, fleece, hooded sweatshirt. You'll be PLENTY warm.

Oh, and throw a poncho over the whole thing if it's raining.

For the people who are REALLY bothered by cool weather, gloves and a hat or headband are also highly recommended.

You really feel the cold when you're moving along at 50 mph... gloves and hats are a VERY good idea.

I even brought a scarf!
Or just wear a costume that combine all of the above. :)

Thanks Greg! You just reminded me to pack my *emergency* poncho...and where are my gloves.....can't find em. lol.

It calls for some showers Sat. and Sun. but hopefully Mother Nature will give us a break. :-)

Watch out phor the Phrequent Phlyers at Phoenix Phall Phunfest, Oct. Phourth!
If your really worried about the cold weather, just drink some beer before sunset and you should be alright! That's my plan ;)

Beer is always a good back up plan!

The latest forecast is showing rain showers during the day and small chance of showers in the evening (that's NOAA's forecast, not useless weather.com). Of course, that could all change, but as it is, I'd much rather chance of showers than plain 'ol RAIN.

Gee, that really sucks... I am very sorry for you. If your car has issues, couldn't you rent a cheap sub-compact for a day or two? It probably wouldn't be too glorious, but it would get you to PPP!

Wow, we're dropping off at a fast rate. I was up all night last night (stomach problems) and I'm probably not going either.

Ok... I get all the way out here, rent my car in Baltimore, and NOW you don't go? Get healthy!

Tina, rent a car. We must hang out! Jeff and I will be there tomorrow night, with our bells on, of course!;)

Unfortunately, I've decided to definitely cancel. Between lack of sleep and how my stomach still feels, I shouldn't be going to PPP tomorrow even if I've recovered -- I'm going to need the rest.

On the plus side, if anyone needs a hotel room in the area, two just opened up at the Days Inn in Danville...

Greg- So sorry to hear of your troubles, too. Hope you're feeling better... never too early to start counting the days until next year. Sadly, tomorrow is the farthest point from next year's PPP :(

I'M trying to figure it out, too. I've been having intermittent stomach cramps for the last 2 weeks. Nothing major, though. I went to the doctor early this week, and he did an exam. Based on my lack of ANY other symptoms (no fever, nausea, etc.), and the fact that they started after a particularly aggressive workout, we figured it was probably a pulled ab. I'd been feeling MUCH better.

Until last night, when they returned with such a vengance I couldn't sleep. They've faded again, but now I'm just SO not feeling up to travelling...

I'll still poke my head in at Kennywood tonight to be social, though, for those of you headed there.

--Greg, currently feeling more tired and frustrated than actually sick, but playing it safe...

You're probably better off playing it safe, instead of pushing yourself and suffering even more later on. I was going to suggest that you might have food poisoning, but if you've been feeling something for two weeks now, that kind of gets ruled out... unless, of course, you got something on top of what was already bothering you.

Driving distances when not feeling 100% is a terrible thing, and I don't blame you for not feeling up to going.

Oh Man that sucks Greg! It will give you time to work on a costume for next year! ;) Get better dude!
