Still moving at a furious pace, Dreamworld has almost completed the construction of Cyclone. The first drop and turn are finish. Only six track pieces remain to be installed.

When I first saw photos of this coaster a few years ago (as Big Dipper), one thing that really struck me was that the first drop isn't very steep. It looks like a straight 40 to 45 degree drop.

yeah i noticed that too....but in retrospect, it probably still delivers a nice ride :) anaconda at pkd has a quite drawn out drop as well, but it is very thrilling....despite what others say. although this is comin from what 2Hostyl refers to as a certified Arrow fan!! hehe :)

The drop is not steep, it is long & drawn out which makes for a nice change compared to quick, steep drops. The name fits well, it's like a Cyclone, fast, furious & unrelenting. I have ridden it 11 times at its old location & is great fun, smooth with only one bumpy part (before the s-curve.) The curve before the Sidewinder - I prefer to call it a 'horizontal loop,' pulls huge Gs like its vertical twins.
