Dreamland Scenic Railway nails track

Apologies if this doesn't warrant a thread, but I thought this perspective was rare and interesting. Something on the ride's track meant that everything went awry quite quickly.

It serves as a good reminder that these things are machines and also the sheer mass of the components involved.

It's expected to be closed until 2025.

Wow. That is really torn up! Glad there were no injuries. Looks like the train stayed on course.

I'm wondering if the camera might be part of the ride all the time, as maybe an onride photo or something like that. Or, being that this is a ride with a brakeman controlling the ride, onboard for insurance purposes.
