Dreaming of an inverted shuttle loop coaster....

How long will it be before we begin to see some of these? Company's have recreated an inverted copy of just about everything else. If it can make a boomerang popular, why not try a shuttle loop coaster. Of course it will have to be really high. It's like Superman and Vertical Velocity only with a loop and an extremely fast start. I build them all the time in RCT and the peeps love it. What are yalls thoughts?

I personally would love to see this. How about a Intamin or Vekoma shuttle that launches you out at 85mph down a runway into a 200ft vertical loop, followed by a tunnel, 540 degree helix and then a tall spiraling spike. Then you do the entire thing backwards. I don't know, is that too many Gs??? *** This post was edited by DWeaver on 4/6/2001. ***
The helix might be to intense backwards, however it would be cool.

While it doesn't have the launch you mention, a Vekoma Invertigo such as Two Face at SFA is an inverted shuttle loop coaster.

I think Josh means an Inverted version of the Schwartzkopf Shuttle Loop. He said it's like an Impulse with a loop after the launch. That'll be cool with the Spiral Spike!

That's what I meant. The spiral would add a nice touch to it. It seems as though it would be a very possible coaster to create. I'm suprised it hasn't been tried yet.

What's so bad about intensity, imo the more intense the better.

The bad part, Coastergenius, is that coasters are aimed towards the GP, not us, the enthusiast, and not all of the GP can handle or want to handle intensity.

Personally, I'm all for it :).

Look for Knott's to get one in 2002.
I meen in the helix, going backwards might now feel good beeing crushed against the OTSR.

So.... You take Montezuma's... Invert it. Add a LIM and there you go! Make sure it's from Intamin. Vertical spikes at each end would be sweet! 300' Tall and 90 MPH

Sounds good to me Skyboss01!

Another problem is loss of momentum in the transactions due to friction, you might not have enough speed to preform the loop without being to intense during the first loop.
