Dragster's lighting package

Just wanted to say that Dragster's lights are nothing short of spectacular.

The ride simply glows. A spire of light heads way up into the night sky and can be seen 40 miles away in Fremont!

It truly is spectacular.

Here is a photo from battery park

That really is somethin'! CP is going first class with this ride! Wonder what the "locals" think of this?

Thanks for the pic, MagnumForce!

Thats not even with the big tree lights on it
Looks Good

I pray that the next coaster @ CP will be an Arrow 4D

Can someone tell me what exactly happens at night launches, so the lights go completly off, then the treelights go on, and it gets re lit or does it change color or is it just the treelights that change.

CP has done some amazing lighting jobs as of late, PT's changing lights were amazing for their time, MF, well what can I say its first hill is part of my desktop at the moment, and from that pic TTD looks like it could be even better! Only 1.5 months left!

The tree lights are not installed yet, the small tree at the launch is not even finished yet.

Also, what in the world is that piece of steel sticking out of the side of TTD (to the left) in that pic. Is that part of the superstructure I hope not because it looks like something Dr. Freud would be interested in. Also, was this pic touched up so TTD is brighter then the rest of the rides, I hope so because if that is what MF's light package looks like next to TTD they might as well turn it off it looks that bad :(

If you mean the part with the lights, that is Magnum's lift hill lit up.

The piece of steel is the elevator supports. The photo is undoctored, remember Millie's lights change at that photo was taken during the darkest of Millie's light combinations.

It still looks great.

Is the light right under the track? 'Cause if it is that will really hurt people's eyes coming down. "Hey whats that bright light? AAAH!" hehe

It is not just one light, so you are never staring at the full blast of lights at once.

As Magnum Force said, TTD is viewable from Fremont, Everyone in our car was staring at it amazed at what we were seeing and by how far away we were seeing it. It is truly a sight to behold at night.. hell even in the day time it is breathtaking!

Millie is still looking really good at night, dragster has just taken the Limelight.

Yes, it looks very... phallic.

Purple cows eat silver moon pies, among fiesty, glowing fireflies.

Alex, Hell yeah we were ... I think everyone was scared when I slammed on the breaks and said "Holy Sh*t guys... there it is"

That is one hell of a night light for Sandusky, and all of the surrounding towns!!

Fremont is only 30 miles away. I doubt you can see the light from there. I was driving from the turnpike on Rte 53 north to Port Clinton and didn't notice the light in the sky until I was near the Edison bridge on Rte 2. Lets not get away with ourselves.

Technically, if there is no ground clutter in the way (for instance, seen from lake erie), you could see TTD from 50.69 miles away. =)
Sorry Dude... Brent is right, you can see it from Freemont... (not in town, but just outside, of town, where 6 jogs around the town limits...

I have also seen the Dragster in person and let me tell you it is nothing short of spectacular. The lighting scheme is excellent, it really bring the ride to life, making it look almost surreal.
