Dragster train on site

Dragster's front carriage arrived today goto the website and check it out, they look awesome.

They look better then they did in the renderings. Looks liek these could eaily be set up for a fighter jet themed ride as well. Very sweet. Interesting to see that two cars are together as opposed to being one at a time also interesting to see they are totally complete, headrests and all. Sans wings of course.

Lets see------ really heavy train x 120 mph in 4 seconds x ?Gs= Those have to put up under a LOT of stress. But still looks good.:)

I think it was calculated over on GTTP to be something like 1.5 G-force which is not that big. Hypersonic and Dodonpa pull more G-force. I would be more worried about those wheels overheating (but since it is such a short course will that even be a factor??).

I'm guessing the reason you see the first two cars arriving connected is due to the fact that the trains are trailered. Each car (other than the front one) only has one set of wheels at the back. In order to place cars on the track and have them sit level it is necessary to have two connected together.

It's only one idea though...

Swimmerkev: why would the g's on the decent be anymore than the transition to the accent? the pull outs are about the same and seeing as though the speed, when graphed, makes a nice little parabola, wouldn't the g's be about the same?

Although, they do look very nice and fit the theming great, am I the only person who doesn't like them? Theming is great, but it just doesn't seem to fit in place for this coaster, IMO.

It possibly could be that CP is trying to become what I call a "PKI"? Still providing great thrills, with decent theming (amazing for the area).

I absoutley love em'! I just checked on the site today and was thrilled to see them on site! I cant Wait!!!

CP is just continuing its long-standing tradition of giving us a themed ride every couple of decades (CCMR, Disaster Transport, now TTD). ;)

How is Cedar Creek Mine Ride themed? It's just built in a rustic location and has aged over the years, giving it that look.

And you forgot about Woodstock Express ;)

Cedar Creek Mine Ride is slighty themed. The line has an old rustic theming to it and the entrance is themed to an old mine shaft.

I like how they were sneaky and shipped the trains in on a sided trailer instead of a flatbed.

I guess CP wanted to hush the arival of the trains so people couldn't get pictures posted on the net before them! ;)

No, thats how they are shipped from Europe. In a 20 foot container that can be stacked on top of other continers or have other containers stacked on top of it. It has nothign to do with the Point now wanting anyone to see them. They would be covered no matter how they were shipped.

Those arre nice trains, I think if fits perfectly with the theming. The color scheme is nice on the trains too, but I don't know about the track = /.

That would make sense MagnumForce. Especially if they were shipped by boat.
