Maybe this has been addressed already, but I was wondering just how elaborate CP is going with the theming? The trains look incredible. The starting light is a great idea. But how much further are they going to take it? Jeff, can you shed some light on this?
Please note, I'm not looking to start a speculation thread, I'm looking for facts.

Take it up a notch, Mr. Operator! I wanna feel my brains in my feet!
In order for it to be a drag race don't you need another vehicle to race against?

This is the most elaborately themed coaster since Dueling Dragons (Best themed coaster that will ever be, period).
I'm not so sure. Dragster will probably have the same level of theming as Xcelerator, if even that much. Its nice, but not what I would call elaborate.

California Screamin- it's good!
besides the trains, which i admit are awesome, TTD is in no way the best themed coaster since DD.....please think that through before submitting such a claim. take a look at some of Premier's coasters....like Mr Freeze, the FoF twins, and B&R: Chiller.....all incredibly well themed coasters, MUCH more elaborate then TTD.
however, a coaster that travels 120 mph over a 420 foot high apex.....doesnt need a lot of themeing to make it a good coaster ;)

(currently a Dorney Park homer though...thanks to college:))

Well...maybe he said because it was his *opinion*, maybe?

100th coaster....Dania Beach Hurricane!
Along with the engine sound and spinning tires, i had some other ideas...
If they put some type of fog machines, or steam machines, then it could give the visual of the tires spinning out on take off. The only problem is that it could cause rust on the track/supports if they made constant contact.
I was also thinking that they could make part of the que in a garage type area indoors, where they could have drag-racing style cars, and tools along with anything else drag related inside the building.
This ride has sooo many possibilities, and i hope CP suprises us with some theming. If you really think about it, the theming could create an awesome atmosphere, and at this point, i have this out-of-control type vision in my head. IMO, the wait in line could possibly be just as intresting as the ride itself, with the exception of riding it.

I dont think that Cedar Point even considered spending an extra $25 million (give or take a few depending on if it is inside of dragsters track or outside of it) on another 420 ft coaster. Besides, wouldnt that lead the public to thinking (especially SFMM fanboys) that CP "copied" S:TE? CP would get more crap than ever like "CP isnt original! They copied S:TE!"

TOP THRILL DRAGSTER
This is getting very old anyways. Every other topic is Dragster. No one has even ridden it yet. Let's talk about something else.

QUESTION: For those of you who already comparing the themeing to other coasters, how can you? The park is not open yet. Construction of the coaster alone is NOT even complete. You will NOT be able to judge it's appearance until opening day.
Yeah, Cedar Fair said Xcelerator was going to have a chrome and glass station, they even had a picture of it, but it never materialized.
