Funtown USA will add an S&S Power Turbo Drop for the 2001 season. Named Dragon's Descent, the ride will stand 220 feet, with a drop height of 200 feet. For the kiddies, an S&S Frog Hopper will also be added.

You can read the whole story at the official Funtown USA website.

Good. This is very good. I dare someone to say otehrwise.
This should be a great addition to give this park a boost in growth. BTW, has anyone been on Excalibur it looks pretty cool.
That's awesome to hear. I love seeing parks expand with more and more state-of-the art attractions (i.e. Silver Dollar City w/Buzzsaw Falls and now Wildfire, and Funtown USA w/Excalibur and now Dragon's Descent). Does anyone know how many towers the ride will have? It's sounding like 1 right now but does anyone know for sure?
Geez, sounds fun its going to be 20 feet higher than Dominator at Dorney Park, and the drop is going to be 25 feet longer. Hope the park does well after this, I wouldn't mind seeing a park like that expand into a competitive park.

Talon is going to rock, roll, and take its toll!
Cool! Excalibur is a great coaster and Dragon's Descent will be great too. Go Funtown!

Hey in reply to the message about Funtown USA's new turbo drop. Someone asked if anyone has ever been on Excalibur. Well I happen to work for the park. I have been on Excalibur many times. Great coaster. The new turbo drop "Dragon's Descent" will open May 2001, also keep an eye on the park for the next 5 years. We own lots of undeveloped land, the park could double in size! Look for more waterpark and can we say coasters!!!!!! We want to be competitive with Six Flags New England while trying to stay family oriented.
