Dragon Mountain

Any help on how this coaster is would help. Thanks.

Hmmm... I sure am glad people don't ask vauge questions around here....

Try going to www.rcdb.com and searching for "Dragon Mountain."

You're lazy.

Hi! I'm an Irish signature virus! Please put me in your signature to help me spread! :) Thanks!

Or how about doing a search, because I've seen other threads like this on here before. A little tidbit of info though... It's the only steel roller coaster with a bowtie. (correct me if I'm wrong) Also, I have a question. I was recently up in the Toronto area via Niagara Falls, and their brochure says that Dragon Mountain is the LARGEST steel roller coaster in the world! Either false advertising isn't against the law in Canada, or someone's messed up somewhere. It isn't the longest, fastest, tallest, or anything else I can think of! Anyone have anything else?

Dragon Mountian is a truely a great ride. At one time it was the longest steel coaster ever. The ride is smooth, has 4 inversions(2 vertical loops, and bowtie), and 2 underground tunnels in which the train picks up a ton of speed in each. The lift hill is massive, but the drops arent. Its a good ride, i give it a 9/10 because its long, exciting, and well worth the 5 minute wait everytime.
It might take up more acreage than any other steel coaster.

Well from what I remember it only took up the side of a hill, and wouldn't steel dragon or MF beat it out for that?

It probably was when the brochure was first printed. They just haven't bothered to correct it over the years.
I picked up the brochure last saturday!

Looks like a great ride, I would wait for it. I love arrow loopers :)
It does take up he most acreage of any coaster. This thing is loooonngg and spread ou!

800,000 years in 7 seconds: Time Machine the movie or next S&S creation?

I rode is during a Niagra Falls trip and was and found it to be a lot better than the average Arrow Looper. Headbanging was minimal and I loved the bowtie element.

One part that is fun it the long tunnel after the helix. After a lot of darkness, you spot a little light at the end. Then, as soon as you exit, WHAM! The ride hits you with the bowtie inversion.

Such an under rated coaster :(

Before you criticize somebidy, walk at least a mile in their shoes. That way, if they get mad, the're a mile away and barefoot!

You are right I am very lazy, proud of it too. However Intamin2k, I don't believe rcdb gives reviews on GOOD a ride is, so basically at rcdb, Millenium Force might be as good as Jr. Gemini. So the point of posting this was to find out how GOOD Dragon Mountain is, but thanks for your concern.:) Have a nice day.
You have to decide that for yourself, and there's only one way to do that! It's an oldie but goodie. Some unfinished theming, a bit of shuffling here and there, and a pitch black station. Other than that, the dragon trains and layout are impressive.

...add to the fact that it's usually a near-walk on ride almost all the time considering people have to talk 2 miles to get to that end of the park, and it makes for an excellent ride.

If only the theming was finished, the ride wouldn't feel a little dull in the middle. It's an excellent ride, but just a little... just a little dull in the middle.

....Summer is only a short 91 days long. How much of that time are you going to use at the amusement parks??

If you happen to go there to ride it, look out for where you're going in the queue line... There are pillars everywhere and it isn't all that lit up...
