DF was another Arrow Looper. It never recieved much attention or popularity in it's day compared to many other rides, and there are plenty of other mega-loopers still out there.

It wasn't all that popular, and didn't gain all that much attention. Traver's most famous Cyclone at Crystal Beach is still talked about today with web sites dedicated to it & him as well as mentions on numerous rollercoaster specials on television!
I don't hear a word on Drachen Fire being slung around on any television specials for rollercoasters or parks.
Most people (general public included) who heard about, or rode this ride probably have nothing really that great to say about it since it was basically just a decent Arrow/B&M designed rollercoaster that was very rough...
Oh wait, I guess it would be like Drachen Fire then. ;)

Honestly, people give DF waaaay more credit than it deserves. To be honest, I am miffed that such a lack luster and un-enjoyable coaster is now getting such notoriety.
It is falling into the Bat/Traver category and it really does not deserve it. As far as I know, the ride was designed by B&M and either a disrepancy or dispute led to the design being taken over by Arrow. The layout was altered, from what I recall, but is B&M's same basic idea. It was to be a follow up to Kumba. One of the obvious B&M influences was the supports. The first, and only, time that I know of Arrow using "column" type supports and not scaffolding on a multilooper.
