Drachen Fire the future Traver Cyclone?

The title says it all.  Does anyone think at some point in the future that Drachen Fire will have the same mythical pull of the wild rides of Harry Traver's twisted mind?
No.  In it's time the Cyclone was legendary, and today there is nothing remotly similar to it.

DF was another Arrow Looper.  It never recieved much attention or popularity in it's day compared to many other rides, and there are plenty of other mega-loopers still out there.

In my opinion... highly doubtful. Drachen Fire was only drooled, touted, and raved upon by rollercoaster enthusiasts... probably only half of them who never even rode the coaster!

It wasn't all that popular, and didn't gain all that much attention. Traver's most famous Cyclone at Crystal Beach is still talked about today with web sites dedicated to it & him as well as mentions on numerous rollercoaster specials on television!

I don't hear a word on Drachen Fire being slung around on any television specials for rollercoasters or parks.

Most people (general public included) who heard about, or rode this ride probably have nothing really that great to say about it since it was basically just a decent Arrow/B&M designed rollercoaster that was very rough...

It wasn't designed by B&M, that was just a rumor.

I did love the Drachen Fire experience, but only time will tell.  The ride gained a form of legend simply be being "around-while-unridable."  It is like the drug your parents tell you not to take, but it is there in front of you many times, and is quite irresistable.  (I don't take drugs...:))  Regardless, I think it is possible that DF could, someday, have a mythical status that it hasn't found yet, but the naysayers all have to die first, and that is a long ways away.  Just remember that the CBC was considered rough and dangerous (even if it wasn't) in its time, and it grew to be the myth it is today.

Was the Cyclone "all that?" Honestly, aside from looking like a wooden Schwarzkopf, was it something people would travel to ride? By all published accounts, it sounds like it very nearly killed people.

Oh wait, I guess it would be like Drachen Fire then. ;)

I don't recall a nurse having to be on staff in Drachen Fire's station. Although......

Honestly, people give DF waaaay more credit than it deserves.  To be honest, I am miffed that such a lack luster and un-enjoyable coaster is now getting such notoriety.

It is falling into the Bat/Traver category and it really does not deserve it.  As far as I know, the ride was designed by B&M and either a disrepancy or dispute led to the design being taken over by Arrow.  The layout was altered, from what I recall, but is B&M's same basic idea.  It was to be a follow up to Kumba.  One of the obvious B&M influences was the supports.  The first, and only, time that I know of Arrow using "column" type supports and not scaffolding on a multilooper.

Interesting stuff, Shaggy. I for one know of no proof of B&M innvolvement, but the similarities are striking.  Put a zero-G roll at the top of the camelback and you have something very much like Kumba.  The cobra roll, non-consecutive corkscrews, it all screams B&M.  It could be coincidence, but I don't know.
