Drachen Fire is no more... part II

So, has anyone been able to confirm my earlier post that Drachen Fire is being dismantled?  I ask this because I have received more information on the subject.  The information I’ve seen mentions a substantial amount of track already removed.  Also, prep work has been conducted on the wraparound and crown of the lift.  This means they HAVE to have cranes on site, which would easily be viewable (in the winter) from Route 60.  Now, I would assume the cranes would only be viewable during normal 9-5 business hours – and I can’t imagine construction workers being on the job much too longer before a little holiday vacation.  I don’t know how cranes work, but I believe they lower them when not in use, which would make them invisible from Route 60.  So someone needs to get by there during business hours, and not around Christmas Day.  My local contacts in the area haven’t had a chance to swing by there.  I do have a contact that might be visiting the park in the next week or 2, we’ll certainly have confirmation then.  - neurobla
Maybe the ride isn't being removed but instead is being re profiled. The possibility always exists for BGW to turn it into a hyper or they might be removing some elements that were just too rough, remember how the corkscrew after the mid course brake was removed?

Why do that? There is that thing called Apollo's Chariot right there...

...and how come any time anybody mentions cranes people automatically think it's a hyper?

Ride the New England Bush!
Yeah - it's not a reprofile, unless my sources are playing a huge joke on me.  Supposedly, the first drop is pretty much gone, along with a lot of ground level sections of track.
Pardon my ignorance, but why did they shut this coaster down in the first place? I always thought Arrow was pretty reliable, with the exception of prototypes.
Skywhirl, it was removed because it was supposedly so rough, I heard it wasn't that rough, but for BGW standards it was too rough.

The Original Duke From Danimation!
Let's not just say "it was removed" yet...There still is absolutely no truth.  It could be retracking or whatever.  I thought Jeff said get back to us when u had proof? =)
there was a rumor about the great escape in talks about buying Drachen Fire before, but from what i understood it was just a rumor. if this is true though, maybe great escape did infact purchase the coaster...they were clearing out a very large amount of land right behind ghost town...maybe that will be the new home of drachen fire :) (i can only wish though lol)
Well, if the track is being taken down carefully, then it could be being sold or put in storage, and hey, being put in storage is alot better than just being scrapped like Windjammer.
Here is an intresting, but not likley, possibility. Elitch Gardens is supposed to be getting a new ride, right, I personally think that Drachen Fire would compliment their coaster collection. At least its a thought.
We can all hope that this coaster is being saved, sold, restored, or at least being put in storage.

I've ONLY seen it, but from what I've heard it is exceptionally unlikely to return with its previous layout...now I can't say if it might be dismantled/reassembled with a different layout - but I think it would probably retain SOME inversions...perhaps this thing is just cursed!

I said it once, I'll say it again. Get back to me when you have proof. In the mean time, don't waste our time with rumor nonsense.
