Downloading scenery, rides, SIM rides, etc

I did a lot of searching today looking cool scenery objects and rides to download so I could add them to my game. However, when I go to play it, they aren't there. I tried making a new scenario to see if they were there, but only the new paths that I downloaded showed up.
Is there a specific file Im suppost to be saving these to???

It would help if you mention which version of the game you're downloading objects for...I take it since you mentioned sim rides & new paths that you're playing RCT2?

Locate your object data folder in the RCT2 directory on your PC,then using winzip unzip the files & copy them into that folder & they should appear in the game...for RCT3 it's a bit trickier & I've been experiencing my own problems with it as a result.

I finally figured out how to install custom RCT3 scenery to an extent but still can't get the mainstreet #1 scenery to show up in the game.

The combined mainstreet #2 & #3 sets as well as the expo3000 set are all installed correctly & yet I only get one icon for the mainstreet set in the game with far fewer pieces than what was displayed in the screens for the download,on top of that it crashes the game as soon as I try to use it.

You did put them in the right directory for the RCT2 files?
