I also have a question regarding X. Since it's a 220 foot lift with a 200 foot drop, how tall is that first diving immellman inversion? I'd guess it would have to be at least 160-170 feet, maybe taller..

X well be a very unique experience. I hope Cedar Point gets one

Number 1 And Only Cedar Point

160-170ft, wouldn't that make it the world's tallest inversion?

Thank you Disney, thank you...
Man,for "X" you better have a a cast iron stomach or make sure you have the Pepcid AC handy for this ride. WOW!!!!!

im pretty sure arrow designed it so that you dont barf. i dont think it does 360's the whole ride maybe just on the inversions
If you look close, you can see that riders wont be dropping head first during the entire first drop. It will be more of a freefall drop after flipping once on top of the hill. Anyway it looks completely manic and wild.
The barrel roll is as well a very interesting feature on this design, cause the two seperate sides should flip in opposite directions, otherwise the negative Gs would be too high for one side of the train.
Yikes - pass the Dramamine.

Even though I vowed I wouldn't go to SFMM this year (because of the poor experience last year), this ride (X) looks like a winner.

See you in August - *** This post was edited by Mango Madness on 2/8/2001. ***
This ride will be a great addition to Six Flags Magic Mountain. X will be the Viper of the 2000 ara. Viper, is the 1st thing that you see when you enter the park. With X standing infront of Viper, it will be the 1st thing you see when you enter the park. Though, Viper will still stand proud on the hill behing X. Gosh, I cant wait till this baby is built and we get to see it testing while we wait to get in the parking lot. I think about about to cry here. hehe :)

Praise my schools fast computers! I got to watch that video of X. It sure looks impressive. And I believe it does go 360 degrees right before the drop. *** This post was edited by CPgenius on 2/8/2001. ***
Word has it that the turning occurs over 600 ft of track or 1/5 of the ride and will be very gradule ...

Im so confused ... Cali or Ohio this Summer?
Oh damn, Ill have to do BOTH!

Thanks for the link... its about time someone made a non-streaming version of the SF video, cuz with 56 K it bites.... but thats cool I can "actually" see it....

thanks for the post :)

Holy Shikes! - The words of Chris Farley in 'Tommy Boy' May he rest in peace.

X is definitely a barf coaster. Head pointing down in that dip?? RED OUTS! Nah. I reckon they should keep it in the flying position as much as possible.

Then again I could be wrong. Only way to find out is to ride X myself!!

Streaming Video? It should be called 'Trickling Video.'

At the bottom of the dip, you are right side up. Then you flip foward so that you are upside down at the crest right before the drop. You continue to turn and take the drop looking up towards the sky. After that, I am lost.
