Dose Nitro at SFGAdv have a theme?

So dose Nitro have a theme? I belive the park maps have it located in the Moive town section of the park... But out of all of there rides Nitro is the only ride that is just there with no theme to it... All it has are signs while waiting in line describing the ride....

Nope there isnt yet I dont know if it got one over the offseason...doubt it.

Touch The Sky

The theme is "The most Explosive coaster on the planet" Its more of a tag line than theme but thats all its got!

Nope. A really great coaster like Nitro doesn't need one. I can't wait to ride that baby again, only 5 more days for me!

-------------
Did I mention, that I like coasters...

I think I read in an ACE newsletter that the spent the money that was for the station and themeing on more track.

-----------------
"Ruba dub dub, thanks for the grub...yay god!"

I don't think Millenium force have a theme either. Nitro looks to have a futuristic theme at night with the lit sign and the lift and the queve has blinkin lights on it. The station to me looks like a warehouse with ceiling fans like in the movies where the bad guys trap people in the warhouse with a bomb. I think the bomb is Nitro we are the people on a train that is trapped in the train ticking up the lift and after the drop than bam!!! it explodes with high speeds and intensity. Just my theory it seems to work because it's in the movie section and the situation seems like a scene from a movie.
What???? You mean its not themed after the (former) monday night wrestling show "WCW Nitro"? Ahhh well!!!:)

Im going to grab a cold one! WHAT? Walk to my computer! WHAT? Turn the thing on! WHAT? Log on to Coasterbuzz! WHAT? I said log on to Coasterbuzz!! WHAT?WHAT?WHAT?

no
Yeah Chi, I was pretty pissed when I got in line and saw no T&A of the "Nitro Girls".

Besides, if we were really shutting down people we disagreed with, would Jeremy (2Hostyl) still be around? :) I think not. - Jeff 1/24/02

They needed bright colors for the track to compensate for the typical tool shed of a station. Bad Six Flags, bad!

You know, I can think of a park near Cleavland on Lake Erie that has some pretty non-descript stations itself.

Bad Cedar Point! Bad!

Yea... but Cedarpoint is not really a themed amusmentpark like SixflagsGreat adventure is.... if im not mistaking it is Sixflags great adventure themepark and wild safrir... or use to be.... Cedarpoint is Cedarpoint amusmentpark and resort ... see the difrence... when you go to Cedarpoint they have great rides but non really have a theme but when you go to SFGAdv every ride has some type of themeing to it... and Nitro dose not.

I think you're looking into this way too far, lol. It was just an off handed jibe.

And just for the record I can think of at least 20 rides at SFGAdv with no theming.

I say they theme Nitro up a tad. Here's my sadistic idea:

Set up the queue line as a big, winding underground tunnel, so it seems like a blasting site or mine. Then, have sound effects of explosions going off, the floors and walls shake, and you see flashes of light and fire. Trying to escape the blast site before you get caught in an explosion.

Now that would be one cool experience. Now if only SF Inc wasn't the money-grubbing corporation they've alway been, we might see this.

Yeah man. That's why I only go to the not-for-profit, charity driven amusement parks!

Ravenguy, I find your witty comments so amusing :) (such a cool buzzer) Anyway, I too hated to zinc motif of Nitro. And the location of the queue.....jeez with all the land they have did they have to cram it next to Batman!
It isn't all that long of a queue either...
