Dorney Park/Geauga Lake : Cedar Fair - Thank you!

I recently took a trip to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom this past Sunday. I have a Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom season pass and intended on using it. However I could not find the pass and being from Pittsburgh I could not make the trip to Geauga Lake to replace it.

Thankfully, Dorney Park's guest relations office called Geauga Lake to verify that I do indeed have a season pass there and gave me a free pass.

I would just like to thank Cedar Fair, Dorney Park, and Geauga Lake for allowing me in without paying full price even tho I did not have my pass with me.

It just goes to show you that little things like this make the day alot more pleasent.

Wow.. this is strange.. haha. Don't tell me this is a new slogan for CedarFair?... Have a CedarFantastic day/visit? lol...

Anyways, Disney did the same for me at Walt Disney World, except it was with a hotel key/park ticket. I got up to the Magic Kingdom, and realized I lost my hotel key/park ticket. They gave me another one as soon as they could varify that my name was connected to the hotel room. *** Edited 10/4/2005 12:40:58 PM UTC by Keith2005***

No not really...the "CedarFantasic Day" phrase was something a motivational speaker came up with at a Supervisor Seminar at Cedar Point. CP, GL, and MiA sups from all departments attended the seminar. Its not a corporate slogan. I dont know about the sups at CP, or MiA, but at GL we kinda have a running joke with it cause we think its a little silly, sometimes changing it to "Geaugatastic Day." :)

That was nice of them-- err... Sam. It would have been better if he was a jerk and didn't do what he was supposed to and you got to rant about it and then he saw this post, hehehe...

Geaugatastic?

Last year around this time (post-hurricanes) my Knott's pass was lost somewhere in storage, along with everything else I owned. During the PPP trip we stopped by Dorney's GR and I got comped in. Same thing happened at GAdv...a month after *abandoning* my house, and I was off having fun in NJ/PA, thanks in large part to the understanding GR staff at those two parks... :)
Wow, Guess I should go around as Sam Marks and say I lost my pass :)

I hope at least some ID is checked.

Anyhow, that was a very nice thing for CF to do.

At WOF, the sups always say "Go make them have WORLDS OF FUN today." Which IMHO is just as corny.

Man of many words, swoosh? ;)

Well, I'm not sure what exactly happened there -- it's fixed now though. :)

Dorney did in fact ask for my I.D. when giving me a pass to get in.
