Dorney Park Updates Website...

Dorney Park updated their website with completely new look similar to that of GL's. The site also includes a banner at the top that officiall announces Screamin' Swings to opne at Dorney in May 2005. (Even though many of us knew about it already.)

EDIT: The Joker is no longer included on the Park Map, Guess they're removing it too! *** Edited 4/8/2005 4:12:17 PM UTC by UdoTch***

Have they always had the Animated Park Map ? I just seen that yesterday and was quite surprised. Very cool idea, I'd love to see Cedar Point do this, it would be allot more impressive than the banner, but I'm sure a whole heck of a lot more work. *** Edited 4/8/2005 6:01:02 PM UTC by SFDLdan***

Is the SS an up-charge ride at Dorney?

cool, and it matches the Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingom site
My guess is that its the same designer on the two sites, they are just too similar.

Also, from what I've been hearing; Yes, SS will be an up-charge.

Yes, it IS the same designer...he's even registered on this site! ;)

The only SS models (other than WA's) that are NOT upcharges are the full-size versions...AFAIK.

I wonder if this new site is permanent? ;)
I don't think the ride is going to do very well seeing that Kennywood WON'T be charging for theirs in 2006.

How so? Those parks are hundreds of miles from each other.

You know me, Gonch: I grab onto a joke and run it into the ground ;)

Not to mention that they are about 5 hours apart (its a loooong 5 hours too), and the large percentage of DP's guests are from NYC or Philly and won't be making the trip to Pittsburgh anytime soon anyway.

And, let's not forget that if parks much closer than that can both have carousels, tilt-a-whirls, scramblers, log flumes, shoot-the-shoots, wooden coasters, bumper cars, and on and on that also having a Screaming Swing will matter much.

Yes.

No armpit boy here? :(

The 360 degree views in the Virtual Tour section are pretty cool.
