I was anxiously awaiting Dp's opening day! The Day finally came, but I was not able to get until around 3:30. I went with two of my friends and when we got there we were very surprised by the large crowd. Although we did not get to ride very many rides(due to long lines that we didnt want to wait in) I am still going to tell you about my trip. We started out by just walking around and seeing what changes they made. Lets just say I was very please. Dorney definitely seems to have a much better atmosphere. Most of the park was redone in concrete type paths, though there were still a few spots with the black top paths. Hopefully next year they will finish the entire park in the concrete paths, to me it just looks much better. I also noticed that there were quite a few trees left in the parking lot that have yet to be planted. Now onto the rides. Like I said we only got to ride a few. Our first ride was on ThunderHawk. When we were on it it just seemed alot taller at the top for some reason. It is still a great little woodie with some good airtime, but it does still have the trim breaks which kinda kills it, but overall it is a fun ride. Next we headed over to the newly painted Monster which was taken out last year for Dominator, but now it is back! When the ride first starts going, you spin a little bit, but the rest of the ride its just like up and down. I think they should make the cars spin automatically. But it is still a fun little ride! Then we made our way to the Wild Mouse. The line was sorta long but we waited in it anyway. It basically has the same design as Hershey's, but a different color scheme and soma extra brakes. The cars look much cooler than Hershey's though. It is a great ride and I had tons of fun on it! Next we went to the Wave Swinger, which is like right across from the mouse. It's your typical swing ride which is lot o fun, IMO! We then went and ate at the Coasters Drive-In. The food was decent, but a little expensive.
