Dorney Park latest Cedar Fair park to announce dinosaur attraction

Posted | Contributed by Jason Hammond

A life-size Tyrannosaurus Rex, a kids paleontological dig site and at least two remote control dinosaurs are just a few highlights of Dinosaurs Alive! , a walk-through prehistoric-themed attraction debuting this summer, said Charles Hutchison, the park's spokesman.

How long will it be until someone complains that MI Adv. isn't getting dinosaurs?

If MiAdv needed dinosaurs, they'd be there already.

Which reminds me: Carowinds just bought an extra plot of land to. Are they up next?

I believe the 6.75 acres of land that Dorney bought is for parking, not the dinos. As Gonch mentioned before, this is the likely location for Dinosaurs Alive. Additionaly, the land that Carrowinds bought is not attached to the park it is East of the Parking lot next to the freeway. That being said, Carowinds does have undeveloped wooded areas. Though it too is currently seperated from the park by roads and parking.

Lysine contingency. That's all I'm saying. And I reserve the right to use that joke for each and every Cedar Fair park to announce these damn things.

So long as I get to reference The Critic as well.

Cedar fairy dust
Jurrasic fair
Dorneysaur park
King dinominion
Knots raptor farm

So since its Dorney Park does it mean that the dinosaurs are "used?"

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

Aren't "used" dinosaurs where we get oil from?

This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!

Okay so just so I can get this straight. Which parks have Dinos now? Cedar Point, Dorney, Kings Dominion, Kings Islands... Did I miss any? Is kings island using theirs this year or are they someone elses hand me downs?

What about windseekers? CP, KI, CW, Knotts, KD, and Carowinds.. is that right?

WOW!!! Super Cool! I can't wait to visit.

Watched Terra Nova last night - the effects were a little cheesy but decent - this may drive attendance a bit due to the mixed marketing.

If that show lasts very long. It seemed to me that the characters may kill that show long before we see the effects on Dinobore attarctions accross the US.

How is Dorney getting a Windseeker in 2013, I'm not aware of any park that put theirs up for sale?

Guess they had a sale down at the Piggly Wiggley on them. Dick K apparently stocked up.

I actually had forgotten that they *weren't* getting robosaurs, so when I read that today, I thought it was an old headline. Any other CF parks still waiting for theirs?

At least they have a nearby water park they can throw the dinosaurs in when they catch on fire.
