Dorney Park Construction Limits.

What is the limit of how high there rides can be?
This is probably why Dominator is so short. Also, why did Talin have to have its supports filled by sand? Dorney always has to fight to build rides of any decent size. Please reply

I'm sure the height limit is the height of Steel Force. The park had to fight tooth and nail to get that built, and it was delayed a year because of community disapproval. Safe to say, unless they pay off everyone in the area you'll never see a Millennium Force at the park.
But remeber Intamin, Steel Force was built at a lower elevation. And don't ask me what the limit is.

Talon is going to rock, roll, and take its toll! *** This post was edited by K Walk on 2/14/2001. ***
I'm pretty sure Dorney has a few height restricted zones thruout the park. I'm not excatly sure where and what they are.

As for the sand it's used as a sond deadiner. I'm sure it's being done to make Dorney's neighbors happy. Lets just say you won't hear Talon compared to the roar of the Great Bear.
Yeah, that's right. I remember reading about B&M filling that rails on an inverted coaster somewhere with little pebbles to cut down on the roar that they make because neighbors where complaining. Does anybody know where or what the name of that coaster is? I think it was Medusa, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

What is life without ups and downs!?!?
Medusa (West) is filled with sand. Speaking of SFMW, I wonder how they'll deal with sound on Vertical Velocity! SFWoA neighbors really hate the sounds S:UE makes!

X-Flight @SFWoA!
This flight won't be cancelled!
Also, Dueling Dragons at IOA is filled with fine sand to lessen the noise made from the trains. Works quite well, too.

Millennium is spelled with two N's ;)
