Slow news day, maybe. But, this ride has a history of doing this and 90 minutes is a long time to be stuck on a ride.

I just rode that a few weeks ago, and even then I was thinking about the ride's history. While it could just be a fluke, I can't help but wonder if even after taking it apart and reassembling it, some sort of problem still exists.

This one had problems too? I remember Two-Face got stuck on the lift a few years ago, which got a surreal amount of news coverage including chopper footage.
Yeah, a couple of people submitted this to news... it just doesn't feel like news to me. People get stuck on rides all summer, and it seems like a non-event.

My friend's son was on the stuck Stinger (insert groan here), and he LOVED it. Strange kid, that one. I was not surprised in the least either due to the ride's history.

I only ever got stuck on the lift of one coaster... Cheetah at Wild Adventures in Valdosta GA. It was only for about 15 minutes... but the thing that made it really sureal was that I was the only person on the train at the time.
If you want to hear a worse story of being stuck on a ride. I was Six flags Great America a few years ago, and people were stuck at the top of the Giant drop ride. Not just 90 minutes, but all day long. They were up there when we arrived at noon, and they were still up there when we left at 9. We heard that they had to use a hand crank, and lower each car to the ground by hand. We did notice that two of the cars were midway down the tower as we pulled out of the lot, but the others were still at the top. I would have been furious! I would have wanted my money back, plus a season pass!! And, make them pay for my gas to get there!
My friend and I were also stuck on top of Demon drop for 45 minutes. The guy who ran up the stairs to talk to us said that the car in front of us lost a wheel!! So they had to take it off the ride!! That was not a good thought!! After they dropped us, the ride was closed the rest of the day. My friend said he would never ride it again. It was also his first time.
As for LAME! we got stuck in the brake run on Zach's Zoomer at MA. We could have all easily got off the train, and walked into the station to exit, but the girl working the ride was not allowing anyone to leave. We waited 45 minutes for two employees to come and push the train into the station. It might not sound bad, but the brake run was in direct sunlight, and it was near 90 degrees. We were basically getting baked sitting there.
But, seeing those poor people stuck on the giant drop, is probably the worst I have seen. Although, a few years ago people were stuck on the ferris wheel at Michigan's Adventure, and didn't get off the ride until 2 in the morning. They tried using cherry pickers to get them down, but they couldn't reach the top cars. Not sure how they ended up getting those people down.
Have I ever told the story about being on SFA's Superman when the chain broke?

I remember get stuck halfway through a loop on the laser at dorney park for 6 hours till they released the magnets to let the car roll back to the bottom of the track . that freaked me out
Jeff, have you ever been stuck on a ride?

I remember getting stuck on S:TE at SFMM halfway through the loop because the gay, shirtless, Muslims were all using flashpass, but it's okay because it's not really a coaster anyway.

Wait until the Revolution: S:TE at SFMM will count as TWO coasters :)
