Dorney Maxx Pass/Parking Question

I plan on buying a Dorney Maxx pass in a few days. This gets me free Dorney parking, right?

And when I purchase it, they'll refund the money that I spent on parking that day, right?

Thanks

As far as I know the parking pass is an additional cost to the Maxx pass.
If you do buy a parking pass, they usually deduct the day's parking fare from the price of the pass.

But free parking is *never* included. :(

The Dorney Maxx pass does indeed give you free parking all season long at Dorney only (not any of the other Cedar Fair parks). You don't need to buy anything extra. I'm not sure if they'll refund that day's parking fee because I got mine before the season started.

Last year I bought my season pass on opening day and took my parking stub to guest services and got my money back.

After that, when you go back for other trips, you just go up to a parking booth, hand them your pass and they'll give you a parking stub with "Season Pass" stamped over it since there is no longer a season pass lot. *** Edited 6/22/2007 4:35:53 AM UTC by YoshiFan***

Thanks for the info. I'll be back with a report on Monday.
Yes, you guys were right, a MAXX pass at Dorney includes Dorney parking and they did refund my money. One last question... does the MAXX pass include any perks? Discounts on food or anything? Compared to the SF pass, where you get a ton of discounts on food/merchandise, along with the huge coupon book, the CF pass seems a little dull.

Yeah, I discovered the same thing when we finally got our SF passes for this year - some great perks included. The CF Maxx pass gets you nothing but into the parks as far as I can tell. (I believe you can slip in early with the JCC members at CP with a Maxx pass from another park)

I have a Canadas Wonderland MAXX pass. Will this get me free parking at Dorney Park?

Top 5 wood: 1.Hades 2.Voyage 3.Boulder Dash 4.Avalanche 5.Legend
Top 5 Steel: 1.Maverick 2.Fire Dragon 3.Batman 4.Raptor 5.Ice Dragon

^ No, it won't, and Dorney parking is $9 in case you were wondering.

Can anyone confirm Gonch's statement about getting in early at CP with MAXX from another park?

I was just looking into hotels for CP, and I see that Breakers Express isn't within walking distance, nor do they provide a shuttle. I understand they wanna take your parking money, but I expected a little more from CP. With all of that said, where should I stay that's within a few miles and under $100; and nobody better say Econo Lodge. Nothing against EL, but I've certainly heard some horror stories about the Sandusky one. *** Edited 6/26/2007 12:55:11 AM UTC by SFGAdv lover***

There aren't any discounts with the Maxx Pass or regular season pass but on the plus side, food is much cheaper at Dorney compared to Six Flags (at least Great Adventure). A burger and fries at Dorney is $5.75 compared to $8- $10 at Six Flags (I think Johnny Rockets is $9.99). 10% - 20% off food and merchandise would have been nice though and maybe a bring a friend free coupon or two.

There's no need to confirm it. We did it...and you can too. :) (with a Maxx pass, of course)

If it makes you feel better, I'll confirm Gonch's statement and we have Dorney Maxx passes.

The Holiday Inn Express out on 250 has the most awesome beds and pillows. We stayed there for Coastermania and it was cheaper than most everything else in the area. The bathrooms are a little on the small side though and there is construction going on next door, but we didn't notice any noise. *** Edited 6/26/2007 3:02:43 AM UTC by loriu***

I thought you needed to be in the Joe cool Club, or live in one of the resorts to enter the park at 9am.

I certainly believe you and your confirmation of this Gonch; it was just your 'I believe' that threw me off. Thanks.
