Dorney gets approval for new coaster

Plans for a state-of-the-art roller coaster proposed at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom have gotten a nod of approval from the South Whitehall Planning Commission. Park officials want to erect a 184-foot-tall coaster powered by a linear induction motor, a type of motor used in rapid-transit trains and conveyor belts as well as amusement rides.

So, To CF, why not build new coasters, instead of pulling from other parks, and marketing the coasters as "NEW"?

It makes perfect sense to remove rides from a park with attendance problems and re-locate them to parks who would benefit from them, it adds new thrills to the new park, and assists the old park at being profitable.

^Nah, don't wanna spend extra money on theming devices....call it Steel Venom, and send the "props" along with the coaster. ;)
If it was approved why did they have to go before the board on July 25 th? It would seem that is had not been approved but may be by now.
Yeah I read that too. In the Morning CAll oit said the application was to be put to the board on JULY 25. So how could it have been approved june 25?
I will add that i did did see what looked like steel sections foa roller coaster on the back of a truck along hamilton blvd the other day.
its actually going to be a dueling coaster right where the skyscraper ride used to be. The official name is going to be "Voodoo" way to be original.
