This Mon. we are hitting Dorney park, and then Tues. is Hershey.
Any other thing sI should know about these parks?
Thanks...

Stop the lawyers, not the rides!
The Comet at Hershey gets the longest lines in the morning (first coaster you run into) I'd say if you get there first thing check the line. Although it tends to keep a line all day.
The Great Bear may be another to hit first thing as this is usually the longest line in the park.
Another plan would be to hit the Lightning Racer, Wild Mouse, Roller Soaker, and Wildcat first. They are in the back of the park and you should be able to get a lap or two on each before the crowds get to them. Then deal with the lines in the rest of the park.
For Dorney if it's hot you won't need to worry much about lines. Most of the people will be at Wild Water Kingdom. I was there on Saturday. Around 1:30 I was able to get two quick laps on Talon in about 10 minutes.
Hercules ride in the front of the train and lean forward to keep your back away from the back rest.
Steel Force shouldn't be bad either. Just a line for the front and back seats.
Dorney will tend to get busier around 5 when people start to leave the water park and show up for the twilight special.
For discounts coupons check out Burger Kings, Wendys and Turkey Hill Minute Markets. I know or Wendy's has discounts for Hershey and Burger King has them for Dorney. I believe our Turkey Hill has both.

Knoebels visits in 2002. 4
To echo other posts...
Hershey:
Comet and Great Bear can get some pretty long lines. Wildcat can also get some pretty long lines as well.
Wild Mouse, while having a long line, it is a relatively fast moving line. Sidewinder is hit and miss with a line, as is Trailblazer.
The oddity is Lightning Racer. I have not seen either side lined up even during visits on busy days... lots of time the lines do not even extend out of the station. Of course, with 4 trains running (two sets of two), they move people through pretty fast.
Coal Cracker flume and Canyon River Rapids also have some pretty long lines on hot days.
Dorney:
The longest lines we found here were for the Wild Mouse (long and slow moving) and the front seat of Talon... and even that was not very long considering some parks. Steel Force had a pretty good line, but it was fast moving with two trains running (also this was for a front seat). Hercules, Thunderhawk and Laser were practically walk ons.
Truely, the longest line we encounetered was for Dominator (which is not unusual for this type of ride).
The time of our visit was on a Friday afternoon / evening last August. What we found was the increase in numbers because of the closing time of Wild Water Kingdom was offset by the decrease in numbers when the groups that were there in busses started leaving.

"I wasn't always this cynical, but then I started kindergarden..."
I was at Hershey about two weeks ago (on a Saturday) and I had a great time. It was crowded, but I think I missed the rush.
I got there at 10:30 (park opened at 10) and ran to Great Bear - 5 minute wait,. Both SuperDooperLooper and Comet had (at that point) 20 minute waits.
Went to Trailblazer and Sidewinder next - to no waits. Walked on Wild Mouse and both Lighting Racers, then had about a 10 minute wait on Wildcat.
Super Soaker was about a 10 minute wait. We did all this by noon. So, if you go opposite the crowds you should be fine.
Comet was still a 20 minute wait when we got back to it, and SuperDooperLooper was a walk-on.
Have fun!

hey coasterpunk, what ya know, i was at dorney saturday too. I was "one of those people" at the waterpark in the afternoon, lol. How couldnt you have gone to the waterpark, it was so darn hot ! I agree with you, if your going to dorney go in the afternoon, everyone will be in the waterpark. my longest wait all day was the wild mouse(about 45 min). when i 1st got to the park, every single ride was a walk-on. even later that day when wildwater closed, lines weren't that long. hercules seemed a bit more exciting this season(maybe from the re-tracking). I rode in the back seat and i loved it,,,,:-)
