Don't go looking for problems...

Is it just me? Or do alot of trip reports just seem way too nit picky? "Oh, the Goliath line moved very fast, and the ride ops were very efficient, but they should have smiled more". Give me a break! Why when things are obviously running well at a park, do people feel the need to make stuff up just to sound more important than they are? I run into this so often on other forums, and it's just annoying to me. No park is perfect, so stop looking for things that aren't there just to keep your track record of ragging on certain parks. Is there anyone else that feels that some people spend way too much time nit picking a park to death without giving a balanced review? I really wish this would stop. One guy even went so far as to re-post his review of a certain park just to upset people all over again. It's a dead horse, let it go!

OK, sorry for the rant, i'll step off my soap box now.

You may get wet on this attraction, you may even get drenched! But can you survive the PLUNGE? *** This post was edited by Simcoaster on 9/16/2000. ***
No, I agree...I also thought the purpose of going to amusement parks was to have fun and just let loose. I think people need to realize that when they go into a park, thus, it wont allow them to be "let down" by a certain park(s).
Simcoaster, Have you ever been to Knoebels? It's as close to perfect as you can get. IMO anyway :)

Ya know,
I've never noticed if a ride op is smiling or not. I'm usually too busy getting on the ride and chatting with my family.
You know, your post was good, it had great content and a good point, but you just didn't smile all that much. It could've been a lot better if you just took the time to smile! ;) Actually, I completely understand where you are coming from. Although, I've run into some ride operators and park staff that have been nasty to me or someone else, and it does have an effect on the whole "experience". In a trip report, though, it shouldn't be mentioned that people didn't smile enough, or they didn't quite smell right. That sort of stuff can be kept to yourself, or told to the park relations department of the park. When I read a trip report, I want to hear about the rides and the food and the lines, I don't want to hear about how the ops weren't letting people ride twice, or how they didn't smile enough. Tell me about the coasters!! That's all. Peace. :)

Medusa at Marine World: the best in the west!
Sim Coaster I read these reports all the time and to me it looks like they're trying way too hard to find something wrong with everything. (Except for Cedar Point of course. The only park to achieve Godlike status.)
