Don't get to ride very often?

I don't ride often due to my location, living in Hawaii and the cost to fly to the Mainland. Otherwise, I have been very, very lucky this year. Speed at Las Vegas would have been my _only_ ride this year but screw ups at my work place gave me access to a free trip to New England. I was able to experience coasters at SFNE (4), SFStL (5) & Holiday World (2). At amusement parks I visited, I have always enjoyed my stay. Poor customer services, slow ops, long lines, etc. are typically shunted by my present of actually being in a park that delivery roller coasters. I'm a simple human being to please ...

Bob,

Thanks for the great info. I didn't know those parks were that far from Narita, or that the airport was that far from downtown. I'm afraid I won't be as adventurous as I might be otherwise because when I'm flying back I'll be by myself. I don't know if I want to venture too far into the land of the rising sushi with a limited time budget. I would like to go ride Dodonpa, and even Fujiyama (which happens to be the name of one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Toledo...), though. Is it a fairly user-friendly park for a white American boy? You can feel free to email me if you want with any pointers if you get a chance.

Thanks again for the info - Greg

This year I rode about 13 coasters, and I may be stopping in at SFNE later, but most years, I may get out to ride 4 or 5 (and not new ones either). Time and money are a factor. I also just don't find it necessary to go to parks constantly. I think it really makes me look forward to going to the park.

I can also live vicariously through you guys. Keep those trip reports coming!

I havent been on a coaster yet this year, and I live 20 minutes from Kennywood. I have a Kennywood trip planned for the last week in August though. Finally.

Last year I went to 4 parks. This year I've been to 2 so far but thats gonna change in october. Gonna hit six flags great adventure, and dorney park. Nitro will be my 100th coaster in otober.
This year I have been on 8 coasters (All of SFOG's, minus Deja Vu). I live like 20 minutes away from Visionland but have yet to go this year, but I might finally be able to within a week.

Everyone has a photographic memory....some just don't have film.

This year has been a special year so far for me. I have been to 5 parks with one more on the way. Added about 25 new coasters to my count and had more fun than a barrel of monkeys!
This year probably will be my slowest year of all time. I've been to CP twice (once for the media day, so only TTD was open), and HW, and PKI in two weeks, and that'll probably be it.

My best year ever was 2001, when I went to SFWoA twice, SFGAm, SFMM, SFKK, HW, Belmont Park and the Vegas coasters, in addition to my regular PKI and CP trips. That'll never happen again, I guarantee it!
