Dollywood: Plains for new big Ride For 2006 !

Associated parks:
None

I wish you guys would lay off all of the damn spelling hard-on's you get. Give people a break, some people, like me, type fast and make errors. If you want better spelling, how about you setup a system where it spell-checks someone's post prior to it being put on the site? Most of the spelling mistakes are nothing significant, you can still figure out what someone was trying to say.

J Bird, this doesn't refer to you, you kindly told him what to do, not rudely make fun of him and tell him to join the book club.

CoasterCraze, most of the people here are compeletely rude, and think it's cool that they've been posting here for a majority of their lives. Last time I checked, you don't need good spelling to enjoy a rollercoaster and have a conversation with a group of people.

This display of grammer is unacceptable. With the skills shown here the only job he would be qualified for is a Newspaper Proofreader!

For the most part the American educational systems sucks! Emphasis is put on how to pass proficiency testing and little on anything else. The proficiency testing is what is used to guage to school, it's faculty, and the community. If a school is scoring high on reading and low on math, math will be the focus and the kids will get the short end on reading. He is a product of his environment. I'm not wanting to start an argument, but people we've got to really look at who we are putting into office no matter what level. Mayor of a small rural town or President of the US, it doesn't matter, we need to vote and vote smart because his generation will be running the country when we retire!

^Bravo! Exactly what I was thinking.

They Live. We Sleep.

My 10th grade English teacher always said, "The best writing is...rewriting". In other words, proofread before you submit. Thanks we all appreciate it!

Now I'm all for a huge ride at DW in 2006. A frisbee would be awesome by Thunderhead. The area at the top of the hill by TT also could use something new to get people up that way. I wonder if the train could eventually have a depot in that area.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

Perhaps you could slow down, or learn to spell correctly as you type so fast?

I'm completely lacking in youthful firmness as I type this, and I still take the time to spell as appropriately as possible. Typing fast isn't an excuse. I crap once a day, but I wipe my ass even if I'm gonna crap again tomorrow. Just because you're going to do it again, doesn't excuse the fact that you need to take care of what isn't right, like having a stinky buttcrack.

Bad spelling = stinky pooter

See what happens when you try to be witty and make one little funny on a misspelled word? And even add a smiley face? THIS.

Okay, fine. But what about punctuation like that grocer's apostrophe? Hmmmmm?

you kindly told him what to do, not rudely make fun of him and tell him to join the book club.

See how the school system robs these kids? Was I literally discussing a book club--or clubbing people with books? WHAP! Now look what you made me do.

Never mind composition or reading comprehension...what about math?

Lessee, five-year old website, majority of the posters' lives, fumbling with my fingers here...the average poster would have to look like THIS. Granted, some of us write like it and there's abundant proof o' that, no?

Butcha know what? I like you, buddy. Really. I do. In fact, I'm gonna be so nice I'll even tell you how to spell your name. B-A-X-T-E-R. See?

Do speak of me kindly from this point on, eh?

Playa, I'm thinking you're weapon of choice sounds just fine with me. Seems appropriate.

You shouldn't be so condescending if you're unfamiliar with the differences between "your" and "you're." I'm all for correcting idiotic posts, but unless your own posts are error-free, you just look like a hypocrite in doing so.

In before close...

I agree, spelling and puncuation go a long way in gaining respectability in life, and especially on Coasterbuzz!

^^

Haha, good catch there coasterdude!

No, no NO Nate!

You're supposed to SWING your book club, not sit on it!

Go uh, dislodge that...support or whatever that is and have some fun already.

Since all the forums have an "edit" feature typing too fast is not an excuse. Even if you don't catch something before you press "submit" you can just go back and fix it. To not is just lazy.

If that opinion makes me an ass, so be it. At least I'll be an ass who with proper grammar and spelling.

I'd swing my book, but it looks as though I may be swinging it in the wrong direction. :)

This thread needs Hijacking. It's too scary for me at its current state.

Spelling correctly in this country is dying, at least in my school. One time I got all the way to the competition before National in the spelling bee, but I can't say that for my friends. Even the smart kids can't spell correctly all the time.

The internet and AIM are probably leading causes.

To not or NOT to not.

That is the question.

Dang, this is like a Three Stooges pie fight!

Does anybody ever give up on trying to guess the so-called pattern parks use in building attractions? Besides, yes Dollywood did add Thunderhead last season, and yes, it is a big, big ride. But this years offerings aren't exactley skimpy by any means.

True, they are kiddie rides, but there's 10 of them! Just because you can't ride most/any of them Coastercraze doesn't make it a small addition. I don't know all the rides they're adding but I'm sure it's no small investment. Even kids flats are expensive.

Many people, (including myself), did a survey last year for DW about possible future plans for adding a whole new section to the park. If all goes well, we'll be seeing a bunch kickin' rides and attractions in the future, but don't rely on rumors.

I, for one, can't wait for the Italian Job to open...looks awesome to me!

Hmmm, my dictionary is on my hard drive. Do you think that would be OK to use as a grammer corrective device instead of a dictionary?

Wow, Miriam-Webster could tie the server they use to the end of their rope!!!!! ;p

Wow, not only is this not a trip report, it's not relevant to anything!
