Dollywood Coaster Rumors/Improvements

Wednesday, July 24, 2002 9:20 PM

Has anyone heard anything about the supposed B&M Coaster(Prob. Invert)coming in here?Although people said the old Dolly Museum will be torn down to build it,i dont see how, because its open this season as the "Heritage Hall"

Also what about that GCI woodie coming here?It would be a great addition, but were would they put it?

Also, ive heard there going to revamp Blazing Fury, how would they do it,make it faster, longer, what i just cant grasp what they could do(except maybe new trains)?

Has anyone heard anything else,or have any input on this?

Yes, I don't believe they are building anything on the Heritage Hall/Old Dolly Museum as of this time. They've got events for that place all the way through December. I think we might get something new for 2004, but it does not look like they'll be adding anything for 2003 other than some new festival or something.

Other than the Heritage Hall, Dollywood has fenced themselfs in. There is a large field on the Pigeon Forge side of the parking lot entrance (not middle creek) they I'm not sure if they own or not. But to get there, they'd have to go over or under the Dollywood Express train tracks.

Yes the Heritage Hall is running through Dec.,however in 1998,the Thunder Express was running til 31st of Dec. and the tornado opened on schedule in April,im sayin theyve done it before.

As for that land, ive noticed that to,if they built there there could be a train crossing with the path going over the tracks.

The only place ive heard there could be a woodie is above Mountain Slidewinder?Who Knows?

Yea, Ive heard about a wooden roller coaster next to the Slidwinder too. It would be an amazing feat to put one there, but who would of thought they could fit Daredevil Falls where the old Flooded Ore Mine was.

Here's a Terra Server Link:

As you can see, theres alot of space in between the park and where the railroad curves back towards the Tennessee Tornado/Thunder Express Site. I'm sure the park owns that. The picture might be old, but the park for the most paar looks the same.
