Dollywood + Lake Winnie?

I am planning to go to Dollywood next summer and I was wondering if it was worth the drive to Lake Winnie.

"All of our parties at CCI were so...sedate," said Dinn this afternoon. "Wine, appetizers, some jazz. But this Stan Checketts guy...wow, those S&S dudes can party their asses off. Out of control."

Well , having Lake Winnie for a homepark , I may be a bit Biased , but it's only an hour and a half away and has some fairly good flats.

Conestoga, Orbiter, Bumper cars , and Fly-O-Planes are all run very well, and are great rides.Plus the Fly-O-Planes are the only ones of their kind in the world , and are truly an Insane expirience.

Cannonball is not really anything special , but has a lot of history and is a pretty decent ride in seats 1 through 3. Wild Lighning has absolutely no brakage , so some of the turns are taken very wildly.

The park's other rides are mild , but the Boat Chute and Carousel are VERY historic, and the Antique cars are very pleasant.

The food and it's pricing is great , being much much less than any big name park.

Overall , if you'd like to go and spend a few hours at a park with good customer service, pricing, and a laid-back atmosphere go.

I highly recommend a visit to Lake Winnie. Cannonball is a very fun coaster...the kind you can hold your hands up on the whole time and not get thrown around too much. It was running really smooth this summer too. Also, the park has a very nice down home feel to it. If you're that close to it at Dollywood, it's well worth checking out.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

I would also plan on being at Lake Winnie in the evening to get the full effect....definitely worth it!!
