Dollywood - Lightning Rod

Went to Dollywood this weekend to ride the Lightning Rod. It was AMAZING. This new launch system is unbelievable! Rode first car and last car. The launch was insane and added so much to the attraction. Asked if there were any issues this year with the attraction like last year. Was told that the launch was down for a little because of a chassis bolt coming loose and getting stuck in the magnets but the launch it self was running great all year so far! Great news to hear! Also heard that last year the launch was running great but alot of track issues that are fixed.

I will be there the first week of june and hopefully the 3rd time is a charm and i finally get to ride it after 2 failed attempts.

Got to ride one time on our trip this past October. We went for 3 days, and that Monday was the only time it was running. We would've rode a 2nd time if the single train operation was dispatching faster. They were averaging every four minutes.

It's a wild ride for sure. I hope they can keep it running this summer.
