Does SFGAm Deja Vu need a paint job?

Did anyone else notice the blue supports for Deja Vu? There are light blue splotches all over the whole structure. I couldn't tell if these were primer or peeling of the top coat. I can't believe it needed any maintenance after less than a year old.

I dont think thats anything compared to Mantis....Mantis needs some TLC very bad.

Sounds like some cracks developed an they patched over them. It's normal with the steel coasters
For gods sake, the rides a year old!

After the ride was built, they went back and patched up some of the bare spots. They just didn't match up the paint colors too well. This is a common thing with new rides, since pieces naturally get dinged up during transportation...

The other two GIB's at Magic Mountain and Over Georgia don't have that problem...And they've been up and running longer than the SFGAm one...

I was told by a ride supervisor (Hi Mark !! :) ), that it is primer.

Want some paint to complain about at SFGAm? Look at Demon's track when crossing under it. You can see some of TotC's white in spots! At least it's blue on DV, and not some completely different color.

I agree with TrBiggar, if SFGAm does paint a ride, it should definitely not be Deja Vu! Several other rides need it more. AE would look great with some new white paint. Iron Wolf and Demon also need some new paint. Shockwave's blue track has really faded. Even Batman has faded alot.

Check out Millennium Force if you want to see some bad touch up paint! :) Actually it does look like just primer and they didn't bother to paint over it! You notice all these light blue spots right next to the queue. Looks like crap to be honest. I just say if you spend $25 million on a ride, at least touch it up with something that matches! :)

How about they concentrate on getting DV running consistently first! Who gives a d--n about the paint when the thing doesn't run from day to day?

Check out Top Gun at Carowinds the blue paint of the supports is really peeling off they should get their money back from whoever they contracted to paint the thing or fire whoever did it if it was an in house job

When I was a Great America last year, it sure looked like Deja Vu needed a major paint job. I do not know if it was dents or damage from construction but about mid-season there were several brown spots on supports. Looked pretty nasty.
