There is no debate over Gemini. The track is steel. Its a steel coaster.

Father Lucifer, you never looked so sane. You did always did prefer the drizzle to the rain
It's mainly because the ride was built at an out of the way park and recently at that. The first year it operated it pulled into the top 10 of the Golden Tickets which is *very* impressive considering the surveys for that are mailed out something like 1 or 2 months after the season starts. This time around it came in at #2 to MF which is IMHO, just a reflection of the number of people who've ridden it...unfortunately none of the "official" surveys that Discovery uses have adopted the more accurate scoring system of the yearly Wooden Tracked Coaster Poll which ranks based on what people have ridden and tends to give a more accurate view of how people feel about rides head to head.
I don't know if the Discovery Show is going to be based on the Golden Tickets again this year but I hope so, I think their survey results are *much* more based in reality than the NAPHA ones which ranked the KW Thunderbolt #1....I mean, the ride's fun and all but #1? Not unless you grew up in Pittsburgh and never rode JR in my opinion :-)
All this said I think SROS still has a shot at making #1 in the Tickets sometime in the future as more people get out there but this year I think the ride that's most likely to beat out MF is X just based on the buzz surrounding it alone...it should be interesting....
