Does Kumba have seat belts?

DS - Tree ought to know what is going on with Dominator, she is the Team Lead. I'm surprised your friend wasn't directed to the big boy seats as Dominator has them also in row 6 I believe. The big boy seats take just about anyone. If your friend did indeed get on Dominator and was not in the special seat then I say take him on the trip and if he doesn't fit in a regular test seat then try him in a special seat.
She may be the Team Lead, but she did not direct him anywhere but the exit platform, we were getting into the front car. She was very rude, and too busy asking who was on the phone for her then paying any mind to the situation at hand.

I will be taking him on the trip with me, driving from Cleveland, to Daytona Beach should be a blast in my little car, with no air conditioning. Can't wait! :)

I didn't think Beemer Hypers needed seatbelts, I thought there was a failsafe system in the train that if a restraint came undone, so there was no need for the secondary seatbelt restraint.

My understanding was that most seatbelts (on steel loopers) are more for measuring purposes than for actual restraining purposes.

On Beemer hypers it wouldn't matter anyway, since there's no real *forces* anyway....;)

Nyquil, Fabio's Chariot, and Ragging Bull, the *sleepy steelies*...:)

Aren't those seats made by La-z-Boy anyways? ;)
Every coaster at the big parks (BGT, SWO, USF, IOA, WDW) in Florida have modifications for larger riders or have generous restraints (except for maybe Scorpion, if you have long legs it may be a tight fit); dont worry your friend should fit on everything.

Kumba used to have seatbelts years ago. You can see on the OSTR's where they used to be.

Kumba never had seatbelts (except the big boy seats). I don't know what marks you are seeing on the OTSRs but they are not from seatbelts.

Oops, my bad. I could've sworn it had seatbelts on my first visit, but I found a picture online from '97(before my first visit) showing it didn't. Sorry for the wrong info.

...Truthfully I have problems from one big boy seat to the next. One coaster I can latch myself no problem (Kumba, Montu, Dueling Dragons and Hulk) and others I have a tough time of it. (Dominator, Great Bear)

In reallity It's not my gut thats the problem. It's my shoulder size. They always said I'd be a linebacker and I was

Finally, somebody that has the same problem as me. I wish that parks would make atleast one row per train that accomidated people with broad shoulders. Like make the restraint come forward more in the shoulders. That is why I like Arrow and Vekoma OTSR's, they are so forgiving to people with broad shoulders. They also need to make the B&M seats a tad bigger in the hips, but may only be a problem I have though.

One more thing. Has anbody fit in the test seat, but not in the real seat? This problem has happened to me twice (Superman @ SFFT and Talon) and is very annoying.
