does Cedar Fair own Valleyfair?

on the valleyfair website, it says it is operated by CF, not owned. is it like camp snoopy or cedar point and knotts.

I'm pretty sure Cedar Fair owns it. Just like Cedar Point, KBF, Worlds of Fun, Michigan's Adventure, and Dorney Park. Does anyone know anything different?

At the bottem of their web pages it says "A Cedar Fair
Amusement Park Copyright © 2002 All rights reserved"

According to www.Cedarfair.com, they not only operate, but also own Valley Fair in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Cedar Fair's name implies they own both Cedar Point and Valley Fair. I doubt a company would take part of a name if they didn't own it, and only operated it.

Yes, Cedar Fair owns Valleyfair. They bought the park in 1986. It's part of the Cedar Fair family ;) .

They say "own AND operate". Not one without the other.

Like The Beast pointed out Valleyfair (its one word) is owned Valleyfair and was one of the two original parks in the Cedar Fair chain (the other being Cedar Point).

Cedar Fair operates Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America but does not own it. They DO own Valleyfair!

I'd also like to point out that the park was purchased for Walt in 1978 not 1986.
