Does anyone know whats up with that one Giant Drop
Every time I've been to SFGAM in the last 3 years, 1 row on the Giant Drop is always out of order (same one each time). Was there some sort of accident? Why aren't they using it?

They did that because when it first opened that car went to fast up and a girl with really long hair got her hair stuck in something at the top because her hair flew up. When it dropped she was scapled. I cannot confirm this happened because I heard about it from 20 people.
I know at Kennywood the Pittfall has one car stuck at the top. It has been like for about two years.

I might be mistaken, but the last time I was there was on a somewhat busy Friday, and I think all the cars were running.
I'll be there today, and I'll check it out. I have a friend who sometimes runs that ride, so if I see him, I'll ask him.

It must be a coincidence when you go, because PittFall section #3 has not been "stuck" for 2 years. In the 1999 season, it was down for about a month at the end of the year... last year it ran, and this year it ran unitl about 4pm yesterday. It'll be open again today.

Last time I was at Kennywood, a very large woman tried to cram herself into a Pittfall seat and didn't fit. Then two ride-ops tried to cram her in and it still didn't work, so she walked away. Then that row was shut down the rest of the day. ?????

I've noticed the same thing, I never understood why. Although, one time, one time only I got to ride it with every side open. The line didn't noticably faster, and the ride felt the same. So who cares if one isn't open?
