They got approval only to go up to 315 feet, but they still want more. If it was just about breaking the record, they would have gone with it, but it's not. They want to go Terra.
Now, the design was not sold to an American park. They just have another giga planned:
Here are the words from the source, Fright-time:
After the severe dissapointment with the Heide Giga (mentioned below) I though you might want some better news. After contacting Stengal about both the Six Flags Belgium Hyper coaster and the rumoured Giga Planned for a mystery US park this is the reply i got.
"Hello Dave,
Well, we do not know anything about a new Roller Coaster for SF Belgium (until now!).
And the coaster for USA I can't say anything about it. Sorry
Best regards",
Make of that what you will but to me it shows Stengal have nothing to do with any plans at SFB but the 2nd answer confirms there is a coaster somewhere.
olov, you didn't need to quote my whole post, it's right above it! Gee...
Rctycoon2k, how are those 'scientific'? If you're going to say they go with computer memory, no. There are no hyperbytes. Anyways, B&M 'hypers' are called megacoasters by B&M. Last time I checked, Silver Star, Nitro, Raging Bull, and Apollo's Chariot are all over 200' tall.
Maybe everyone should settle on this: A coaster is a coaster, no matter how tall (or short) it is. Why do we need these classifications anyways? In a perfect world, we could keep it simple: Wood, steel looper, steel non-looper.
