Dodonpa On SNL - CoasterBuzz

The news segment on Saturday Night Live tonight included the opening of Dodonpa, the new S&S coaster in Japan. I guess this is some sort of first for a coaster.

The coaster they showed for it must have been Joker's Jinx (sp?)

It was a lim-bowl that was purple and green. Gee, that looks a lot like a S&S! :-P They did have a good joke though. No Japanese will be tall enough to ride it.

Actually, it was six people in all of Japan will be tall enough to ride it. THe audience thaught it was quite funny.

Crap, I wish I had heard that one. I was watching, but I fell asleep in the middle of the show. Oh well. It seems funny because I like picking on other cultures, but I'm Jewish so it comes right back around at me. Oh well. Some people relate me to Archie Bunker, but I tell them that they are getting me mixed up with my grandpa. Hehe. Don't take any of this the wrong way. I never mean anything by it.

Yeah, it was definitely Joker's Jinx. I'm 99% sure.

Actually they did almost the same joke when Steel Dragon opened. It went somewhat like this,
"The tallest roller coaster in the world opened this week in Japan. Sadly nobody in Japan can ride because of the sign that says you must be this tall."
