I've never been to SFMW so I don't have very good knowledge of this park. I did see pictures of Kong with it's original paint job. I like the yellow supports and the red track better. And what the heck is V2?
I like the new paint-job of Kong better than the old one. It seems to make the coaster look wild or something (and with all that headbanging on SLCs', the ride is sure to be wild). The V2, or Verticle Velocity is an Intamin impulse coaster just like Superman: Ultimate Escape at SF:WoA. It will be new for this season. I do believe however, that it is a tad bit smaller (height-wise) than S:UE. Hope that answers your questions.
I also like the paint job of Kong. It is very cool,and not plain.
not only were the original colors ugly, they wer very faded for only biend 2 years old. i cant wait to ride v2

ANY paint job would be an improvement, but it's still a few hairs too rough to be a pleasant experience.
