On a more positive note some of us Buzz'ers have had major coaster related events that we got to witness and I thought it would be fun to share them...
Not really coaster related but I got to be one of the first test riders on WDW's Astro Orbitor- they decided at the last minute to open it for one of the Grad Nights and had all Cast Members rush over to TL to test it right before the park opened.
On another side, I got to be one of the last ops to work Mission to Mars- and in the last days many of our "trips" were almost all cast members and we had a contest to see who could feed Mr. Johnson the best lines- for those not familair with the pre-show, we would give a speil and then then turn it over to Mr. Johnson who would reply "Why thank you," and then go one with his speil (Mr. Johnson was an audio-animatronic figure)- we'd say things like "Wow isn't Mr. Johnson hot," or "Mr. Johnson you fly is open" and he'd always respond, "Why thank you."
Another event I got to witness was the very last voyage of the nauilas on 20,000 leagues!
I was also working on Sunset Blvd when they opened it for the first time ad the M&M Studios.
Years later I....saw them put up....the sign announcing, Millennium Force *** Edited 9/11/2005 5:39:29 AM UTC by BrownStreak***

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger
I also remember watching the clouds rotate above Wyandot Lake, while I was working there, during a thunderstorm (prompting a tornado warning in the middle of Columbus' fireworks show, panicking 500,000 people downtown.)
And, I remember when the main transformer at WL scored a direct hit from a bolt of lightning, knocking out the park for a day-and-a-half, again, while I was working.
Hmm, good thing I don't work for amusement parks anymore! :)
I remember when I thought Anaconda and Drachen Fire were 2 of the coolest coasters I'd ever seen. Then I rode Anaconda. Never did get DF (but I kinda like Anaconda).
I remember when Batman: TR first happened, B&R:TC was built, and the last major ad campaign SFI had ("When you're second, you have to give them something more". Wish they still held that philosophy).
I remember thinking "Wow, PKI is getting a huge Looping Woody that is gonna Rock. Why is Cedar Point adding something that doesn't loop and looks boring?"
Oh and I was born the day Adventureland's Tornado opened, but I can't say I really remember that. :)
