Do you rate wooden and steel coasters?

I compare my last experiences on each coaster, and then take into account previous experiences. There might be a year when Boulder Dash is running rough and I prefer Hershey's Wildcat, but if I take into account how many good experiences I've had on BD and how many lousy experiences I've had on Wildcat, that usually changes the way I rank them.

As far as there being a purpose, I guess it's so people can share their opinions with one another. I don't care about a top ten other than my own but I'm curious to know what others think of certain rides and them ranking their coaster experiences probably makes it easy for others to understand.

I think there's ALOT to be said for these kinds of rankings. I've read *repeatedly* that I'm apparently not the only one whose gone out of his way to ride stuff that other people ranked highly....and I'm glad I did.... :)
