do coasters create a 6th sense?

i know they dont really create a 6th sense, but the more i ride them, it seems like i can tell what speed we are going. for instance, on FoF one day, even before going through the elements, i thought that the launch was way too fast, and it really showed when going through the cobra roll.

do you think that this works for specific coasters? or do you really think you can ride a coaster without having any idea what the max speed is, and give an accurate guess?

If you've ridden them a lot I think you get acustom to the regular speed and can tell if it's fast or slow.

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

I agree with PKI, if you have ridden the coaster a lot, then you can sense when something is wrong.

Ya I'm the same, I knew for instance Beast was flying alot faster this year.

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

I personally think it isnt a 6th sense, but rather you are used to the ride.

That sense where you can tell how fast you are going, and if it's too fast, is only your sense of feel. You don't have to be able to touch something to feel it. In the case of speed, you are feeling a concept.

One time I heard a really funny story (burried somewhere on CB, in a "scariest thing" topic) about a whole train stopping, and everyone seeing a white ghost climbing the structure of American Eagle's helix. Now, if it wasn't a lie, I'd say thats a 6th sense, to see dead people. ;)

After you grow accustomed to the posistoning of certain objects and such you can sorta judge the speed of the train. Its just something I have grown accustomed to on SOB/TG cause I work them and basically ride every day

I think we all have some kinda 6th sense like that. Kinda like if you have a sense of time and direction. Maybe it's more of a mental sense rather than physical like the 5 senses.
On the 11th, V2 (SFGAm) was running WAY too fast, I actually starting holding on for my life, as you could tell we were a few feet too high the FIRST time going up the flat 90 degree hill.

LMAO! I actually saw the ghost of Bruce Willis while riding 6th Sense: The Escape. And there was some 8 year old kid checking bars......

I don't know if it's a 6th sense, but I often have dreams of situations that happen in real life (sometimes within a week, sometimes within years) and for some reason I recognize that I have experienced the same thing in a dream. I usually try to do the exact opposite of what I did in the dream after realizing the deja vu effect though. :) It also freaks me out when something bad happens, because I hope it doesn't in realy life. :)

Yah, I have a 6th sense on Arrow MegaLoopers. I could be blindfolded and never see the track/cars but I'd know it was Arrow because I'd feel like I was being beaten to death.

Oh and CPgenius, that happens to me all the time! Once I had a nightmare about a house burning down and three kids dieing in the fire. I woke up at around 1 a.m. and went back to sleep. When I woke up in the morning I saw that the paper said something about a fire so I read it. It said a house caught fire at THREE-THIRTY AM and THREE KIDS and their mom died in it. And its also happened to me and told me what the new Invader ZIM episodes were about, it was freaky, I was interviewing Jhohen Vasquez for my website or something and he told me about Planetjackers and Rise of the ZitBoy.

Why do they report power outages on TV?

I think it does. I told Rolling Thunder at sfgadv to stop and it stoped on the lift for like 10 seconds.

You guys have been riding X too many times! :)
